Nursery Spring Term – ‘Ar lan y mor’

Parent information

Morning school

The morning begins at 9:10am

Part-Time Pre-Nursery

Morning ends at 11:50am

Full-time Nursery

(Starts the term after 4th birthday, if accepted by administration)

For these children, the school day ends at 2:45pm

Snacks

Part-Time/ Full-Time children

Please send your child to school with a fresh water bottle daily, this should contain water only and no flavourings. Your child may also bring a healthy snack to accompany it. This snack should consist of a whole piece of fresh fruit or a pot of sliced fruit, clearly marked with your child’s name.

Illness

If your child is unwell, please keep him/ her at home and telephone the school before 9:30am. If your child has an appointment with the doctor/ dentist or at the hospital please inform the school.

P.E

Our class PE day will be on a Friday. Please send you child to school wearing suitable clothing i.e. trainers, T-shirt and joggers/leggings.

 

Homework

Please log into Seesaw for home tasks.

Please contact the school if you require a copy of your child’s password.

 

Jolly Phonics

Across the Foundation Phase, we teach phonics through Jolly Phonics. The Jolly Phonics’ scheme teaches children through songs and includes actions that link with each sound.  Why not practice them at home too?

Oxford Reading Tree (ORT)

ORT is the reading scheme used within our school to support language development and deepen comprehension.

Emergent Writing Guide

Making marks to represent a sentence is part of a child’s development stage.
This guide helps to identify the stages of development in writing and ways in which you can help support progression.
